Archive-SeCure Series
PineApp™ Archive-SeCure™ supplies organizations with a powerful set of tools to cope with their archiving needs. The organization’s data is fully protected against any unauthorized access while being archived. With detailed permissions-system features, Archive-SeCure adds a substantial
security layer for the entire network’s data. At the same time, all email-borne data is fully available for inspection and auditing purposes via a fast, multi-conditional search query system. Archive-SeCure provides a full content compliance and e-discovery suite, with fast and easy access to very large databases. Archive-SeCure is offered either with internal RAID based storage (DAS) with an adjustable capacity size or with interfaces to all common storage architectures (NAS/SAN).
FEATURES
Redundancy and High Availability
Archive-SeCure 3000R and 5000 hardware platforms provides full redundancy by applying dual power supplies and hard drives (RAID 1), thus enabling high availability in case of failure.
Multiple Email Retrieving Technologies
Archive-SeCure offers several data retrieval options, for both active and passive archiving.
Because retrieval is possible via several protocols, from several locations simultaneously and from all types of mail servers, it does not matter how many or what kind of mail servers the organization uses. Archive-SeCure can fully retrieve all the data. In addition, Archive-SeCure also has the ability to retroactively pull all existing mail messages currently stored on the organization’s mail server using the PST and NSF files’ migration feature.
Real-Time Alerts
Because system administrators rarely have time to monitor appliance status by inspecting logs, MASA offers a system-alert feature that notifies administrators of any critical changes in their appliance’s software or hardware status in real-time email notifications.
Advanced Indexing
Archive-SeCure offers a highly detailed search engine, enabling users to combine several detailed conditions in one search query (down to the single character level) and receive a response almost immediately. This rapid search engine is powered by the appliance’s advanced indexing module which sorts the information in each email message component, including mail attachments, down to the single character level.
Detailed Permissions System
To facilitate end-user access to personal emails via search queries without compromising the archived data’s security, Archive-SeCure offers a highly detailed permissions system. System administrators can assign limitations in access and action (archive, delete etc.) levels, thus restricting end-users to pre-defined activities and domains. It is also possible to automatically assign end-users’ permissions by synchronizing user-lists with an LDAP server.
Comprehensive Audit Trail and System Logging
Archive-SeCure’s logs section includes a highly detailed set of system logs, allowing system administrators to identify traffic trends, keep track of data flow in the organization and note any hardware/software changes in the appliance.
Single-Instance Storage
Another way of saving storage space is through Archive-SeCure’s single-instance feature, which automatically saves only one copy of an attachment across thousands of emails, reducing storage costs by up to 90%.
Data Compression
Compressing data prior to storage allows for more efficient use of available storage space. Archive-SeCure’s high ratio compression and single instancing reduce email storage volumes by an average of more than 75%. With this feature, organizations can store much more information in significantly less storage space
LDAP Support
Archive-SeCure supports synchronization with various directory service clients (Exchange, AD, Lotus notes etc.) for automatic user creation and management.
BENEFITS
One-Stop Shop
Archive-SeCure provides an all-inclusive archiving solution; no third party software is required.
Redundancy and High Availability
Archive-SeCure 3000R and 5000 hardware platforms provides full redundancy by applying dual power supplies and hard drives (RAID 1), thus enabling high availability in case of failure.
Centralized Mail Management
Archive-SeCure’s integration with PineApp’s Mail-SeCure email perimeter security appliance helps system administrators achieve centralized management of the organization’s email service.Seamless IntegrationArchive-SeCure is easily installed and integrated in any network topology.
Full compliance to latest regulations
(Basel II, PCI, HIPPA, SEC Rules 17a-3/a-4 and NASD Rules 3010/3110, GLBA, FOIA and Sarbanes-Oxley).
Intellectual Property Protection
Archive-SeCure protects the organization’s intellectual property by putting most of it in a safe location, inside the internal network.Standardized Format StorageEmails are compressed and stored in standardized format (i.e. RFC822).
Rapid ROI
Archive-SeCure substantially reduces the organization’s PST files’ size, both at end points and on servers, requiring less space to store the same amount of information.Improved ComplianceArchive-SeCure helps organizations comply with the Sarbanes Oxley act (SOX), the Gramm-Leach-Bliley act (GLBA) and the Freedom of information act (FOIA).
Scalability
Archive-SeCure is a highly scalable solution, as it supports distributed scaling and division of both traf.c and search database among two or more Archive-SeCure appliances on the network.
Redundant Information Solution
Archive-SeCure prevents the loss of intellectual property due to computer failures by storing the personal storage table (PST) on a redundant platform (DAS, NAS or SAN).
